A method for routing pixel data from a scaled video stream packet within a client in a mobile display digital interface (MDDI) communication system, the method comprising the steps of receiving a predefined pixel content by the client from a host; scaling the predefined pixel content to a specific size by the client; sending the scaled pixel content to at least one specific display buffer from a plurality of display buffers specified by a pixel data attribute field received by the client; and displaying the pixel content of the at least one specific display buffer as well as a corresponding system.
