<p>A mobile semi-trailer combination has a front semi-trailer (2) with, at its rear end, a coupling chassis (7) with a coupling, and a rear semi-trailer (3) having a set of wheels (15,16,17) and a front frame portion (18) extending forwardly of the set of wheels. The front frame portion (18) has container support arms (20) that are demountable, retractable or inwardly pivotable. The front semi-trailer (2) and rear semi-trailer (3) are connectable in a long mutually pivotable configuration and in a short mutually fixed configuration in which the front frame portion (18) of the rear semi-trailer (3) projects into a guide of the front semi-trailer (2) so that the front and rear semi-trailers (2,3) are prevented from pivoting relative to each other.</p> |
