4-Phenyl-1H-pyrazole compounds (I) and their N-oxides, salts, tautomers, diastereomers or optical isomers are new. 4-Phenyl-1H-pyrazole compounds of formula (I) and their N-oxides, salts, tautomers, diastereomers or optical isomers are new. M : substituted aromatic group; R 1> : H, halo, alkylsulfanyl, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, CN, amino, Z 16> or NR 13>R 14>; and R 2> : e.g. H, halo, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or haloalkoxyalkyl.
