The invention is related to a method for the manufacture of a beverage packaging of the type that comprises a foil material and which may be provided with a straw for puncturing the foil material to gain access to the contents. This is achieved by means of a method, comprising the sequential steps of:
- providing a first layer of printed foil material;
- applying a perforation in the first layer of foil material; and
- laminating the first layer of foil material with a second layer of foil material to form a laminate. The invention further relates to a beverage package of this type.
