A unit for interconnection of upper studs of two adjacent walls of a railway freight car body containing an upper cover plate and a lower cover plate rigidly secured at the end of one of the upper ties and projecting above its end. In the protruding part of each cover plate is made a hole. Between the protruding parts of two cover plates an end of another upper tie is located, in which a through hole is made, through which a rod passes, which passes simultaneously through the holes in the cover plates with formation of a joint.
