<p>A cellulose-based nanocomposite film is provided to improve gas barrier, mechanical property, ultimate tensile strength and/or initial modulus. A cellulose-based nanocomposite film comprises an organized bedded clay dispersed within a cellulose matrix. The oxygen permeability in a range of film thickness of 25-30 micrometer is 190 cc/m^2/day or less. The organized bedded clay is less than 7 weight% and is selected from dodecyl triphenyl phosphonium-mica and hexadecyl ammonium mica.</p> |
