PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of electric field unevenness while suppressing the change of the unneeded charged state of toner in the system of flying the toner from a toner holding body using a vibration electric field.SOLUTION: The developing device includes: the toner holding body 3; a flying electrode member 4 arranged away from the toner holding body 3; and a vibration electric field-generating power source 8, provided between the flying electrode member 4 and the toner holding body 3, for generating a predetermined vibration electric field for flying the toner from the toner holding body 3. The flying electrode member 4 includes: a conductive member 5 extending at least along the rotary axis direction of the toner holding body 3; an insulating cover layer 6 for continuously insulating and covering a surface positioned on the side of the toner holding body 3 so as to include at least the closest part with the toner holding body 3 and the most projected part facing a route that the toner T passes through from the toner holding body 3 to an image holding body 1 of the conductive member 5; and an exposure part 7 for exposing the surface positioned on the side of the image holding body 1 adjacently to the insulating cover layer 6 of the conductive member 5. |
