PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting laser module which is free from dew condensation and is highly reliable.SOLUTION: The surface emitting laser module includes: a surface emitting laser element having a surface emitting laser for emitting light in a direction perpendicular to a substrate surface; a light receiving element for monitoring the light of the surface emitting laser; a package provided with a region where the surface emitting laser element and light receiving element are installed; and a lid which has a window portion formed of a transparent material and also has a lid connection portion to be connected to the package so as to cover the surface emitting laser element and light receiving element. The package is provided with a package connection portion to be connected to the lid connection portion, and the lid is connected to the package so that the light emitted from the surface emitting laser is reflected at the window portion and then made incident on the light receiving element without being made incident on the surface emitting laser, wherein the lid is provided with, between the package and the lid, a water permeation region that water permeates. |
