PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a configuration for improving the frequency versus temperature characteristics of a voltage-controlled piezoelectric oscillator equipped with an ECL output circuit.SOLUTION: The voltage-controlled piezoelectric oscillator includes: a piezoelectric vibrator Y1; an oscillation circuit 11; a frequency voltage-controlling circuit 12; a heating element 7 for heating the piezoelectric vibrator Y1; a temperature control circuit 8 for controlling the heating element; and an ECL output circuit 13 connected to output of the oscillation circuit 11. The piezoelectric vibrator Y1 is an AT-cut crystal vibrator, and the ECL output circuit 13 includes an ECL circuit for converting output of the oscillation circuit 11 to digital output to output the resultant one. When temperature of the piezoelectric vibrator Y1 is not more than normal temperature, the heating element 7 is controlled by the temperature control circuit 8 to keep the temperature of the piezoelectric vibrator Y1 at normal temperature. When the temperature of the piezoelectric vibrator Y1 is not less than normal temperature, the frequency versus temperature characteristics of the piezoelectric vibrator Y1 are used. |
