PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization of an entire machine as well as making riser workable and to improve the maintainability, in a vertical casting machine in which a mold is moved from a clamping position to an opening/closing position.SOLUTION: The vertical casting machine is configured to make a mold reciprocate between a mold clamping device and a mold opening/closing device that are juxtaposed. In the mold, there are provided a pressure rod 40 that makes molten metal risered by being pressed down with a pressurizing means installed in the mold clamping device and a reset cylinder 43 that returns upward the pressed-down pressure rod 40. The reset cylinder 43 and the pressure rod 40 are attachably detachably mounted on a top plate 63 of a movable mold through a unit mounting plate 42 so as to be integrally removed upward from the upper face of the movable mold. |
