The reservoir has a cup-shaped piston (2) arranged in a hollow cylindrical housing (1) provided in a cavity of a cam shaft of an internal combustion engine, where the piston is in pressure communication with a cam shaft adjustable system and operative connection with a spring accumulator (3) e.g. helical compression spring and corrugated spring ring. The spring accumulator is formed in a rectangular wire. A guide element (4) is coaxially arranged as a pipe in the housing. A central axial opening (5) extends opposite to an end of the housing.
