PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocker arm hard to crack, reducing a material cost and excelling in productivity.SOLUTION: The rocker arm 1 includes a roller 2 abutting on a cam provided on an engine, and an arm body 3 rotatably supporting the roller 2. The arm body 3 is integrally formed with an engagement portion 31 slidably engaging with a rocking fulcrum member provided on the engine, a slide portion 32 sliding on a stem end of an engine valve, a pair of side walls 33 formed between the engagement portion 31 and the slide portion 32 and rotatably supporting the roller 2 inside of them, and a pair of ribs 34 extending from the engagement portion 31 to the slide portion 32 and bent from the opposite end edges of the engagement portion 31 and the slide portion 32. The rib 34 has such a tapered shape that a front end portion 341, which is the end portion on an engagement portion 31 side, gradually rises with respect to the engagement portion 31 according as going backward from the front end. |
