PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce a high-grade product when producing a functional film by forming the film while transporting a long substrate in the longitudinal direction, by preventing the characteristics of the film from deteriorating due to foreign matter such as particles having deposited on a transportation roller and the like.SOLUTION: This production method includes: bringing a cleaning sheet which is long but shorter than the substrate into contact with a surface of the substrate and stacking the cleaning sheet on the surface of the substrate; transporting the stacked body through a transportation path of the substrate; and starting film formation after the rear end of the cleaning sheet has passed through a predetermined position. |
