PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium carrying device capable of securing carrying quality of a carried recording medium regardless of the type of the recording medium, and to provide an image forming device.SOLUTION: The recording medium carrying device 100 includes a pair of rollers nipping the recording medium and a drive means rotating the pair of rollers. To read an image recorded on the recording medium, the recording medium carrying device 100 carries the recording medium by rotating the pair of rollers by the drive means. The recording medium carrying device 100 further includes: a detection means detecting a displacement amount of the rollers constituting the pair of rollers when the recording medium is nipped; and a control means changing contact deformation amount to correct skewing of the recording medium, in accordance with the displacement amount detected by the detection means. |
