PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which can execute the processing of an entire workflow without stagnation even if the state of an image processing apparatus or a user is changed after the start of the processing of the workflow.SOLUTION: The image processing system includes a plurality of image processing apparatus and executes a workflow comprising three or more steps. With respect to one step out of the plurality of steps, first processing contents of one step and a first image processing apparatus which should execute the one step out of the plurality of image processing apparatus are preset. The image processing system includes a determination means which determines whether or not the set first processing contents can be executed by the set first image processing apparatus before the execution of the one step. If it is determined by the determination means that the one step cannot be executed, different alternate processing is executed instead of the one step with respect to at least one of the first processing contents and the first image processing apparatus.
