PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably reset an external storage medium without manual intervention.SOLUTION: There is provided a monitoring recording device performing the backup recording of data into an USB (Universal Serial Bus) storage. The monitoring recording device includes: an USB host control device 10 which is a hardware and detects the connection of the USB storage and controls writing and reading with respect to the USB storage; an USB detecting part 21 which is a software and detects connection with respect to the USB storage; and a reset performing part 22 for performing the reset of the USB host control device 10 when backup recording setting is valid, the USB host controller 10 does not recognize the USB storage, and also the USB detecting part 21 recognizes the USB storage. |
