PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tobacco plant enabling sure and easy perception of behavior and extent of a harmful substance such as nicotine taken into the body and accumulated in tissues and organs, the tobacco plant, and a tobacco produced by using the tobacco plant as a raw material.SOLUTION: A tobacco plant labeled with heavy nitrogen (N) is grown by supplying a nitrogen compound containingN as a nutrient source in a process to grow the plant from a seed or a sprouting seedling. The nitrogen compound to be supplied as the nutrient source is an inorganic nitrogen compound such as nitric acid compound or ammonia compound.
