PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system configured to be mountable with an ECC (error correcting code) system that responds to random errors and lump errors.SOLUTION: The memory system includes a p-adic number conversion part for dividing batch-processed binary data D into symbols of h-bits and δ-digits and converting the symbols into data words of p-adic numbers (p is a prime number of 3 or more) with k-digits; an encoding part for generating, from the data words, a code C composed of a remainder Zp of the prime number p composed of code words with digit numbers that can be displayed in h-bits of n-digits; a memory part for storing the code C as write data; an error correcting part for generating a syndrome S from the read data Y read from the memory part and correcting the error of the read data Y by operation using the syndrome S to reproduce the code C; a decoding part for reproducing the data words of p-adic number by inverse conversion of the reproduced code C; and a binary conversion part for converting the reproduced data words into 2-adic numbers to reproduce the D. |
