PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, simple and space-saving chemical material determination apparatus.SOLUTION: The chemical material determination apparatus 1 includes: a sample feature quantity database 31 for storing the sample feature quantity extracted from an optical characteristic data of radiation light of a known fluorescent material or a fluorescent material group radiated by irradiating the known fluorescent material or the fluorescent material group with excitation light per fluorescent material or fluorescent material group; a feature quantity extraction section 21 for extracting the object feature quantity from optical characteristic data of radiation light of an object obtained by irradiating the object with the excitation light; a feature quantity comparison section 22 for comparing the object feature quantity with the sample feature quantity stored in the sample feature quantity database; and a material determination section 23 for determining the fluorescent material contained in the object or the fluorescent material group to which the fluorescent material belongs based on a comparison result of the feature quantity comparison section 22.
