PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze oil such as machine oil contained in soil by a simple method which does not affect environmental pollution.SOLUTION: A method for analyzing oil in soil includes: a step of dissolving oil contained in soil in a lower alcohol by mixing a soil sample with the water soluble lower alcohol such as ethanol; a step of filtering the mixture and adding water to the filtrate; a step of promoting homogeneous separation of oil particles in the solution by physically stirring the whole solution by supplying nitrogen gas in bubbles in the condition that the lower alcohol is dissolved in water; and a step of measuring the scattering condition of thereby deposited oil particles using a transmission photometer. |
