<p>By taking into account a chatter-vibration increase/decrease influence value when determining machining conditions, where said value influences the increase/decrease of chatter vibration, the disclosed method can determine a highly-efficient tool trajectory in which chatter vibration is minimized. In step S100 of the disclosed machining-conditions determination method, an operator inputs the following via an input unit (28): information to the effect that the vibration characteristics of a machine tool device (8), including a tool and a work piece, are unknown; information to the effect that the direction of chatter vibration that occurs in the machine tool device (8) is unknown; information to the effect that the magnitude and direction of the relative cutting resistance of the work piece with respect to the tool are unknown; and a cutting width tolerance or regeneration width tolerance. Next, in step S110, a maximum allowable feed amount (one of the machining conditions) is selected. Then, in step S120, a combination of cut depth (d), pick feed (p), and tool orientation that maximizes machining efficiency (or delivers a required efficiency while maximizing machining system stability) is computed. After that, the machining-conditions information is sent to a tool trajectory computation unit (32), and the tool trajectory generation device outputs information including a tool trajectory.</p> |
