PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder container including an information recording element that is positioned with simple configuration, and achieving stable information communication, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the powder container.SOLUTION: The powder container 38 includes: a container body 38-1 for storing toner; a discharge port 38a disposed on one end side of the container body, configured to discharge the toner stored in the container body to the outside of the container body; a holding member 120 that is relatively rotatable with respect to the container body, and holds the information recording element 122 which establishes contact or noncontact communication; and a positioning member 121 that is disposed on the holding member 120, and engages with the image forming apparatus body side when the container 38 is set in the image forming apparatus body 100 so as to position the container 38. |
