PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a printer to perform printing intended by a user even if a print instruction for an image element in which overprinting is set and of which the density information is 0% is included in print information.SOLUTION: Before image data is generated for the printer which prints an image using image data generated from print information including density information for each image element, the density information of each image element included in the print information is detected and it is detected whether or not overprinting is set for the image element (step 102), and pre-processing is executed wherein the density information of a detected image element in which overprinting is set and of which the density information is set to 0% is changed to density information which is greater than 0% and is capable of being recognized as white by naked eyes (step 104). |
