PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index generation device, an index generation method, an index generation program and a database search system, allowing suppression of index generation of a database that is a target of search when the database is archived.SOLUTION: This index generation device generating an index for retrieving data stored in one or more databases includes: a decision means deciding whether or not each database is an archive target; a crawl means collecting data from the database decided that it is not the archive target by the decision means; and an index generation means generating an index of a character string included in the data based on the data collected by the crawl means. |
