PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a highly accurate signal.SOLUTION: A modulator for outputting an output signal of designated amplitude and a designated phase is equipped with: a first modulating part for outputting a first modulation signal of predetermined fixed amplitude and a set phase; a second modulating part for outputting a second modulation signal of the fixed amplitude and the set phase; an adding part for outputting an output signal obtained by adding the first modulation signal and the second modulation signal; a calculating part for calculating two phases to be set in the first modulating part and the second modulating part on the basis of the designated amplitude and the designated phase; an allocating part for allocating the two phases calculated by the calculating part to the first modulation signal and the second modulation signal such that the first modulation signal and the second modulation signal are respectively connected more smoothly; and a setting part for setting the phase allocated to the first modulation signal in the first modulating part, and setting the phase allocated to the second modulation signal in the second modulating part. |
