Impact protection element, use of same and method for producing same

The element (10) has a hollow body element (20) comprising a front wall element (20v) that faces an suspected impact direction (X), and a rear wall element (20h) that is turned away from the impact direction. Stabilization-/compression elements (30) are attached at inner sides (20vi, 20hi) of the front and/or rear wall elements and designed in form of a hollow body (40) or multiple undulate intermediate wall elements. The hollow body is designed with constant diameter or cross section and filled with foamed material such as metal material and polyurethane material. The hollow body element is made of fiber composite such as glass material, aramid material, carbon fiber compound material, natural fiber material, basalt material and combination of materials. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the side impact protection element.
