A high-speed train runs on a track with rails that are joined to a concrete track bed by intermediate plates. The intermediate plates embrace both sides of the rail base and the rail base surface. The guide plates are fabricated of high-strength form-stable material. The material is a glass fiber polyamide-strengthened plastic. The polymer is e.g. a polyoxymethyl substance.
