<p>A compound of the general formula (1) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a stereoisomer thereof, wherein R1 is substituted at the 5 or 6 position of formula (1) and has the structure (D), a is a chiral carbon, m is the number 0, n is the number 0, p is an integer from 0 to 1, L is -C(O)N(R9)-, X is C(Rc), Z1 is -(CraRb)v-, where v is independently an integer from 1 to 6 and other symbols are as defined in the specification. A preferred compound is (S)-N-{2-[benzyl(methyl)amino]-2-oxo-1- phenylethyl}-1-methyl-5-[4 -(trifluoromethyl)[1,1 -biphenyl]-2- carboxamido]-1H-indole-2-carboxamide. To the extent the solution of the invention include a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of the compound and pharmaceutical composition for use for the treatment of obesity in an animal.</p> |
