#CMT# #/CMT# The movement has a control unit i.e. push-piece knob (102), to allow selection of operating modes such as engaged mode, triggering date and time adjusting modes and deactivating mode (D), of the movement. A display disk is coupled with the control unit for displaying the current operating mode of the movement. An adjusting unit i.e. crown (103), satisfies three different functions based on the chosen operating mode. The adjusting unit adjusts two different time parameters e.g. triggering date (109') and triggering time (110') in an alarm watch (101). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a clock movement. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Mechanical clock movement for use in an alarm watch (claimed) i.e. mechanical alarm wristwatch. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The single adjusting unit satisfies three different functions based on the chosen operating mode so as to free up the space on a plate for other clock modules and to reduce the encumbrance of the clock movement, while permitting convenient utilization of the watch. The display disk is coupled with the control unit for displaying the current operating mode of the movement in an instantaneous manner, thus determining the function satisfied by the adjusting unit, and hence assuring simple and rapid adjustment of the control unit in the watch, while assuring intuitive utilization of the clock movement. The clock movement is configured such that the control unit has single axial position irrespective of the chosen operating mode.
