<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of exactly accepting operation inputs without using a substitute member even when a failure occurs in the display unit of an operation panel, and to provide an image processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A detector 24 of the input device 20 includes a liquid crystal back light monitoring optical sensor, and when the light quantity of a liquid crystal back light 233 falls equal to or below a prescribed value, outputs to a controller 21 a failure-detected signal indicating that a failure has occurred in the liquid crystal back light 233 of an operation panel 23. When a touched area is input from a touch panel 231 after the failure-detected signal is input, the controller 21, referring to a failure time correspondence table 222 as shown in Fig.5(D) (not shown here), transmits setting information (start copy on paper of the same size as a document at magnification factor of unity) corresponding to a display area that includes the touched area to a body controller 61 of a body device 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
