PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain fretting from being generated on a rolling element or a raceway surface of a bearing by a whirling load received from a rotary shaft of a lathe block. SOLUTION: An angular ball bearing 4 and a deep-groove ball bearing 5 are assembled between a vertical rotary shaft 2 of the lathe block 1 and housing 3, an axial load is loaded downwards to the upper angular ball bearing 4 greater than that to the lower deep-groove ball bearing 5, and a radial load is loaded to the lower deep-groove ball bearing 5 greater than that to the upper angular ball bearing 4. The angular ball bearing 4 is made to be larger in an axial load capacity than that of the deep-groove ball bearing 5.
