<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust manifold achieving a reduction in weight and having less risk of water leakage, by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust manifold includes: a large flange 4 formed with introduction holes 6-8 corresponding to exhaust ports and attached to an internal combustion engine 100; and an outer shell member 16 provided with an exhaust chamber 36 communicating with the introduction holes 6-8 and formed along the longitudinal direction of the large flange 4. A water-cooled jacket 38 having a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional surface is attached to the outer wall of the outer shell member 16, and a cooling water flow passage 42 is formed between the outer wall of the outer shell member 16 and the water-cooled jacket 38. Protrusions 48, 50 controlling the flow of the cooling water in the cooling water flow passage are formed on the outer wall of the outer shell member 16. The outer shell member 16 is formed with an inner stepped portion 40 for fitting the water-cooled jacket 38, and the water-cooled jacket 38 is attached to the outer shell member 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
