PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuation system which enables evacuation of poeple from the inside to the outside of a building as soon as possible when a disaster occurs. SOLUTION: In the evacuation system of a building 11, an elevator 12 is installed therein, a specified floor at which the elevator 12 is stopped is set as an initial evacuation floor 11a, and an escalator 13 is installed at least between the initial evacuation floor 11a and another floor. The evacuation system includes a disaster detection means 15 for outputting a disaster signal when a disaster occurs, an escalator control device 16 for directing the driving direction of the escalator 13 to the initial evacuation floor 11a when the disaster signal is input, and an elevator control device for executing the shuttle operation of the elevator 12 between the initial evacuation floor 11a and the preset evacuation floor 11b when the disaster signal is input.
