PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve body and a filter which are disposed in an oil path for feeding hydraulic pressure to a VVT and which are adaptable to various configurations of flow passages and arrangements by increasing the flexibility of the usage. SOLUTION: The filter 11 is formed cylindrically while having a bottom part 28 at the axial one end, and connected to the check valve body 10 by thermally crimping at the axial other end. Therefore, the filter 11 allows a hydraulic oil to pass axially through the bottom part 28, and to pass radially through a cylindrical part 29. Consequently, the filter 11 can effectively remove foreign matters irrespective of whether the hydraulic oil passes through the filter 11 in the axial or radial direction. Since the check valve device 1 can be configured by joining the axial other end of the filter 11 to the check valve body 10, the check valve body 10 and the filter 11 can be used without integrating with each other or the check valve body 10 and the filter 11 can be used while being integrated with each other.
