Conventional bee smokers require a fire to be lit and maintained in order to produce smoke when needed for working around bee hives. The present invention is a bee smoker for producing smoke on demand for use in controlling bees by providing a coil or grid electric heating element (16) that can quickly cause fuel to smolder. When smoke is not needed, the heating element (16) can be turned off so that a fire need not be continuously maintained in the bee smoker. An embodiment includes a housing (11), a power source (17), a heating element (16), a fan (21), and a switch (13). |
