<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the deterioration of an original image by correcting the blur of an image due to the sneak of light in a peripheral image and also correcting the deterioration (smears) in the frequency characteristic (MTF) of an optical system and the transmission route of an electric system. <P>SOLUTION: A scanner correcting part 104 calculates a flare amount, based on image data (reflectivity linear) inputted from a scanner 103, and performs flare correction to correct the blur of the image.
