PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for battery which is provided for solving a problem on the manufacturing of a battery constituted by bonding an electrode to the separator, can firmly be bonded to the electrode, and is excellent in oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: The separator for the battery is provided which carries a reactive polymer layer having a plurality of cationically polymerizable functional groups and a cross-linked structure in a molecule and further containing an organic swelling synthetic mica particle on a porous film. Furthermore, an electrode/separator joint is provided by obtaining an electrode/separator laminate by laminating the electrode on the separator for the battery, bringing the laminate into contact with an electrolyte containing a cationically polymerizable catalyst in a battery container, and then cationically polymerizing the reactive polymer.
