<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic reading device where magnetic data recorded on a magnetic recording medium are not stolen by an illegal magnetic recorder. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic reading device is provided with: a foreign substance detection part which detects whether a foreign substance exists in the vicinity of a card slot through which the insertion or discharge of a magnetic card is performed; a magnetic field generating part which generates an interference magnetic field for interfering with the magnetic field discharged from the foreign substance in the vicinity of the card slot; and a control part which determines whether the foreign substance detection part has detected the foreign substance, and when determining that the foreign substance detection part has detected the foreign substance, displaces the intensity of the interference magnetic field which the magnetic field generating part generates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
