PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the temperature of a quenching tank for electroplated steel sheet equipment, in which quenching stain generated in a quenching process is prevented to more reduce the generation of quenching stain. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling the temperature of a quenching tank for electroplated steel sheet equipment including: a step of heating a continuously carried tinned steel sheet 11 to the melting point of tin or above for a prescribed time by electric power; and a step of passing the heated tinned steel sheet 11 through a quenching tank 12 whose temperature is controlled by being heat-exchanged with cooling water whose flow rate is controlled via a regulation valve 33 by a heat exchanger 32, the prediction valve opening of the regulation valve 33 at which the temperature of the quenching tank 12 regularly reaches proper temperature to the quantity of heat carried-in by the tinned steel sheet 11 has been beforehand obtained, and, in the case the sheet passing conditions of the tinned steel sheet 11 are changed, immediately, the valve opening of the regulation valve 33 is controlled to the prediction valve opening.
