The method involves measuring current and voltage flow between electrodes, where the current is proportional to hydrogen amount, and voltage is dependent of hydrogen concentration. A PTFE membrane is stretched around 1.7 times of original length of the membrane. A hydrogen molecule is diffused through a molecular filter to retain hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, and the hydrogen diffusion current is harmonized by the PTFE membrane. An independent claim is also included for a hydrogen leak-and/-or hydrogen alarm device comprising a PTFE hydrogen sensor.
