<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having significantly improved preservation characteristics under a high temperature even when achieving a higher capacity by increasing charge termination voltage. <P>SOLUTION: At least part of the surface of a positive electrode active material is coated with a surface treatment layer formed of a phosphate compound. The phosphate compound contains at least one element selected from a group consisting of neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
