<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation apparatus, translation method and computer program for implementing real-time translation while improving accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A translation unit extraction part 11 divides an input character string into predetermined translation units, and extracts a character string for each translation unit. The translation unit extraction part 11 performs overlap processing to extract a predetermined words at the end of a character string included in a preceding translation unit added to the beginning of a subsequent translation unit, according to a user instruction. A translation part 12 translates the character strings in the translation units extracted by the translation unit extraction part 11. A display control part 13 displays the character string in association with the results translated by the translation part 12, from the first character string. The display control part 13 displays a result of translating the words in the preceding translation unit, which are added to the subsequent translation unit by the overlap processing in accordance with the user instruction, as the result of translating the subsequent translation unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
