PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phytopathogenic fungus inhibitor friendly to the environment, having low toxicity and surely inhibiting pathogenic fungi against plants such as Gramineae plant, and a fertilizer composition containing the phytopathogenic fungus inhibitor. SOLUTION: The phytopathogenic fungus inhibitor includes a mixture of cinnamic acid and an alkali metal compound or contains a cinnamic acid salt. The cinnamic acid salt preferably contains at least potassium cinnamate or sodium cinnamate. The phytopathogenic fungus is preferably a fungus selected from the group consisting of dollar spot disease fungus, fairy ring disease fungus, curvularia disease fungus, large patch disease fungus, brown patch disease fungus, pythium disease fungus and carnation root rot disease fungus.
