PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a battery superior in a shock resistance by controlling formation of poly balls inside a battery container during heat-sealing, and having a stepless heat-sealing part to prevent breakage of the battery container, thereby controlling moisture transmission and securing sealing strength. SOLUTION: The container for a lithium ion battery uses a film composed of an adhesive layer 10, aluminum foil layer 15, an adhesive resin layer 25 and a sealant layer 30 laminated on one side of a base material layer 5 in this order, and end edges of two of the laminated films are heat-sealed so that the sealant layers may be adhered each other. A total thickness of the adhesive resin layer and the sealant layer out of the heat-sealed part is continuously changed from inner side toward an outer side of the battery container.
