<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration such as resonance generated from housing or the like of a pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: The pickup device 10 includes a housing 30, and a lens 20 attached to the housing 30. The housing 30 includes a first support part 41 for supporting the lens 20, a second support part 42 for supporting the lens 20, a first partition wall 51 next to the first support part 41, a second partition wall 52 next to the second support part 42, and a connection part 60 for connecting the first partition wall 51 with the second partition wall 52. Ultraviolet ray curing adhesives 91, 92, and 93 are applied on the first support part 41, the second support part 42, and the connection part 60, and the lens 20 is fixed to the housing 30. A protruded part 63 for facilitating application of the adhesive 93 on the lens 20 and the connecting part 60 is provided in the connection part 60. Thus, strength of the housing 30 is improved, and a resonance problem of the pickup device 10 is solved.
