PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device of a display device and an inspection method of the display device for easily performing reliable inspection. SOLUTION: The inspection device of the display device includes a pattern control part for controlling a pixel control part for controlling the state of a pixel disposed in the display device, and making the display device display an image pattern having a discrete point string, an imaging part for acquiring image information by imaging the image pattern, and an inspection part for inspecting a defect based on the image information.
