PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine, facilitating adjustment work for a valve lift amount while having a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the variable valve gear of the internal combustion engine, a control shaft 17 having an eccentric cam portion 16 is arranged on a cylinder head, a cam follower 18 oscillated by a rotating cam 12 is supported at the outer periphery of the eccentric cam portion, an oscillating cam 20 connected to the cam follower via a transmission mechanism 19 and oscillated by the cam follower is supported on the control shaft, and the eccentric cam portion is eccentrically rotated around the axis of the control shaft to vary a relative position relationship of the eccentric cam to a valve 1 so that the lift amount of the valve is varied. A cylindrical member 21 coaxial with the control shaft is arranged on the outer periphery of the control shaft, a cylindrical portion 22 coaxial with the eccentric cam portion and the control shaft is formed on the outer peripheral face of the cylindrical member, the oscillating cam is oscillatably supported at the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion, and a position adjusting mechanism 24 for adjusting a mounting position of the cylindrical member is provided on a projection 23 where the cylindrical portion is projected from the oscillating cam on an opposite side from the cam follower.
