摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing methanol capable of increasing the amount of carbon dioxide recovered by a carbon dioxide recovery unit and increasing the production of methanol as well as desulfurizing a feedstock gas such as natural gas. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing methanol comprises the steps of desulfurizing the feedstock gas by a desulfurizer, producing a synthesis gas comprising hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide by feeding a reformer with the desulfurized natural gas together with steam and carbon dioxide, synthesizing a crude methanol by reaction of the synthesis gas on a synthesis catalyst, subjecting the crude methanol to gas/liquid separation into a liquid crude methanol and a hydrogen-containing purge gas, and recovering hydrogen from the purge gas using the hydrogen recovery unit. In this method, it is characterized that carbon dioxide gas fed together with the natural gas is used after recovered from a combustion exhaust gas from the combustion radiation section of the reformer, a hydrogen-rich gas recovered by the hydrogen recovery unit is fed to the front stream side of the crude methanol synthesis step, and a major portion of the remaining unrecovered hydrogen-rich gas is fed to the desulfurizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
