PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF CAUSTIC SODA

A process for preparation of caustic soda comprises the treatment of solution of sodium carbonate with lime milk, evaporation of the prepared solution in a vacuum evaporation plant, mixing concentrated alkali with NaCOsolution containing sodium carbonate of 278-290 g/l in volume ratio of 1:(0.1-0.3) respectively. 0.5-1.0 g/l of aqueous solution of polyphosphates is added to the solution of sodium carbonate before treatment with lime milk.
