PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washable chopstick in which a resin part may be easily formed on a head, and a protection method for the chopstick head, and to provide a highly wash-resistant washable chopstick wherein the resin applied to a tip does not easily peel off. SOLUTION: The washable chopstick is made through: (1) a peripheral groove forming step for forming the peripheral groove 13 having a fixed groove width in a fixed distance position from an end of a chopstick material 1, to form a thin column 11; (2) a filling step for filling a synthetic resin material R in the peripheral groove 13; (3) a cutting step for cutting the chopstick material 1 at a middle point of the peripheral groove width; and (4) an application step for applying the synthetic resin material R on a cut head end face, and thus a length of the thin column 11 may be increased which eliminates the need to use a dip brazing method.
